We finally got our Dux dingy in and it arrived without a floor. We weren’t surprised. $300 worth of starboard later we have a floor in our new boat. We borrowed some fuel off our friendly neighbor and took her out for a spin.
Well the workmanship was questionable but when gave her some gas her true colors shone. Water came over the bow, water came up over the motor. Water came over the sides, we’re lucky we didn’t sink in Cape Fear River. This little baby is hitting ebay with no reserve!
I really don’t understand, the boat is built for sea rescue so why does water come over all 4 sides? We got on plane once and quickly backed off for fear of sinking. I know we could alter the transom to solve the water coming in over the motor but why should we, haven’t we lost enough money in this dingy already. By the look of the seams it’s not going to last too long. What a disappointing journey with Dux Boats from start to finish. You can hear more of my Dux rant HERE.
Thanks for the happy memories Dux Boats.
