Went on a dingy ride looking for alligators yesterday, just found a few old sticks. In our Walker Bay 8’ dingy we were squeezed in like sardines but actually it wasn’t too bad, just have balance out our weight a bit. No surprise that when we got back to the boat I ordered the tube kit for it. It will add a bunch of stability for girls who jump from one side of the boat to the other thinking they saw mermaids.
We have another custom 11’ dingy on order from Dux Boats. We had a cat style dingy chosen out because Prili (the Skye 51) had limited deck space and we could deflate the tubes and easily keep it on deck. You may want to check out this company’s web site but PLEASE do not use them. It has been a couple of months now since we sent our final payment because it was getting shipped out, but phone call after phone call, lie after lie. We paid for it in full and they actually hadn’t made it at all. They had the balls to send us a picture of someone else’s boat completed. Then they offered us a full refund or wait until they got some money in to build it. But hang on…. if you don’t have the money to build it then how are you going to give us a full refund???? So we opted to wait for it to be built, there was more chance that we would get a boat than a refund. As of yesterday it is meant to be shipped out today but I’ll believe that when I see a truck pull up with our dingy. Bloody horrible company to deal with. We would have completely understood their money hardships – after all we are business owners too but don’t just plain out lie to us over and over again. AGRAVATING!!!
It will be a miracle if we ever see it. Maybe we’ll name her “Nike” goddess of VICTORY.
Off to see my temporary midwife today in Hampstead NC. Get a check up and a few typical tests run before we leave for the Bahamas. I’ve been having horrible hip pain at night and haven’t been able to sleep. I bought a pregnancy pillow but that didn’t help any so we spent a couple of hours yesterday sawing up the exiting king master bed with an electric fishing knife and bought a new one. I am happy to say other than the 3 year old creeping into our bed at 1am wide awake, that I had a great sleep. Now all I have to do is work on the snoring husband and the pregnancy bladder and I’ll be a sweet sleeper. Zzzz
