It’s a little crazy around here, our little Maine house is lacking floor space. We have 4 sleeps until we fly to Saint Martin on Monday.
We don’t have mountains of clothes, they all fit in one case but it’s the power tools, toys, homeschool books and foul weather gear that has taken up all our space.
Last week I hit up thrift store for luggage that we plan on “gifting” to Saint Martin when we’re all moved onboard. We will check in 2 bags each = 10 50lb bags. Now that sounds like a lot and I thought we totally can’t have that much gear, but you’ll be surprised. We are pushing the limits in bags and weight. There’s also the gigantic steering wheel Carl decided to purchase, that’s not included in our 10 bags.
We have also shipped a few boxes down full of books and other items to help lessen our load. Packing up is fine but where are we going to put all this stuff on our now smaller boat? Gak!
We want Monday to arrive but stressed because we have far too much to do between now and then. It’s not only the packing, it’s the winterizing of the house, shutting down phones, internet etc and making sure all our mail is now coming in digitally.
We are all a bubble and squeak mixture of excitement, anxiety and lower back pain due to heavy baggage.
Next post will be from the Caribbean. YIPEE!
