I think we’re about finally done with interior tweaking, and I’m soo happy with that. We have a fine dusting of sawdust all over the boat. Wishing it was snow, but alas, sawdust.
Crew’s new bed turned out fabulous! Check it out, it was a cupboard and now a bed.
Before…

Here’s the before, under the port berth is a cupboard. We removed this cupboard to make room for Crew.
After…
The kids love their area in the bow. I came across a rope ladder in a local toy store, awesome! We pulled off the existing wall pockets and bought some beach bags from a local store here ($7.50 USD each) and screwed them in. We were quoted a pretty insane price, which I just cannot mention, to custom make some pockets. All I need is a sewing machine, patience and a bunch of free time – all of which I lack – and I could have whipped them up in a jiffy.
Beach bags it is.
Now that we’re pretty ship shape inside, Carl will move his attention to outside and the navigation systems.

aint nothin sexier than a man who fixes stuff
Still on to do list before leaving Sint Maartin
- work on lifting keel
- replace plexiglass in pilot house
- replace rigging
- bilge pump
- new windlass with new locker built for chain
- sand blast hull
- install wind generator
Well I’m going to stop there, Carl just showed me his list and it looks like the kids will be going to college in Sint Maartin.

we spend a lot of time (and $$) at the local marine stores
The bunk bed looks awesome, especially with the ladder. We got Capri’s postcard. Miss you guys!
Gosh the postcard took no time at all, yours look FOREVERs and looked very beaten up when it got here. The kids love the ladder and their whole area. Miss you too!
Wishing you all the very Merry Christmas and all the success with your adventure in the New Year
Thanks Victor, I hope you had a wonderful Christmas.
